Michael M was founded in 2008 by Michael Meksian and his son Peter after more than two decades of running their own jewelry manufacturing facility in Downtown Los Angeles. The brand was born from a desire to bring sophisticated European design sensibility to the American bridal market, and it established itself quickly as one of the country's most respected bridal jewelry houses.

Every Michael M piece is handcrafted in their LA atelier by a team of skilled artisans who hand-set each diamond individually. The brand's signature crown setting elevates the center stone with a hidden halo and negative space design, allowing light to reach the diamond from every angle for a 360-degree brilliance that is immediately recognizable. Their proprietary U-Set technique takes this further, ensuring the stone is visible and luminous no matter how you look at it.

What sets Michael M apart technically is their approach to materials. The brand uses only reclaimed metals that are re-alloyed in their own facility, resulting in a distinctive luster in their rose gold, yellow gold, and a near-hypoallergenic white gold. Their platinum pieces are alloyed with ruthenium at 950 parts per thousand, creating a silky texture and radiance that is difficult to replicate. All diamonds are hand-selected to a minimum of G color and VS2 clarity.
